Lewis Wealth Management provides our clients with a reproducible, non-emotional investment process using technical analysis to monitor risk within the markets, various asset classes, and sectors. Our process guides investment decisions.
It begins first with understanding our clients’ financial goals and needs and helping them plan for the future. We have a responsibility to completely understand each of our clients’ investment goals, income needs, and risk profile.
LWM utilizes models which are adjusted as needed with respect to the market indicators that we track and monitor continuously.
The oldest law of economics is "supply and demand." We place a premium on "when" to make an investment decision based on price movements using technical analysis which gives a picture of that supply and demand battle.
We believe that being proactive in identifying trends and making adjustments to our clients’ portfolios is vital to reducing risk and ultimately enhancing returns. At LWM, our top priority is to identify these changes in trend and take corrective action.
TECHNICAL ANALYSIS
Technical analysis is an emotionless investment decision making process. Investments are made through a series of technical factors.
The most notable factor is "relative strength” Numerous research studies conducted by Dorsey, Wright & Associates and others show that consistent exposure to the highest relative strength ranked securities results in better investment results than exposure to poorly ranked securities. It is in our opinion the most adaptive tool we have found to pursue the goal of discerning the strongest trends from the weakest.
Relative strength is longer term in nature and thus designed to avoid a large amount of potential turnover in the portfolio, while also being responsive enough to allow for rotation in the portfolio.
In short, relative strength aims to keep losses small while letting profits run. We believe that is the key to successful portfolio management.
We believe that having a "Sell-Side Discipline." is vital in attempting to ensure that risk to principle is minimized. Only through having a pre-determined exit strategy can you mitigate portfolio risk during market corrections.
Investing involves risk including loss of principal. No strategy assures success or protects against loss. We suggest that you discuss your specific situation with your financial advisor prior to investing
